Rushen clinch league title

Rushen United have won the first senior Manx football league title of the 2008/09 season.

They became champions of Sure Mobile Combination Division One with a 6-1 away win against Union Mills.

It was 3-0 at half-time, and the championship clinching goals were scored by Kyle Lunn, with a hat-trick, Stuart Kneen, Furo Davies and Dickie Corrin, who hit a screamer into the top corner.
