Rushen and Pulrose progress

Two goals from skipper Paul Jones and one from Neil Curphey booked Rushen a place in the first round of the Cu-Plas FA Cup.

The Railway Cup holders started their FA Cup run with a 3-1 victory at Gymns.

There was also an away win – and an emphatic one at that – in the preliminary round of the GH Corlett Woods Cup.

A double from Michael Dawson and one each from Gregg Wood, Barry English, Dave Priestnal and Spencer Bell secured Pulrose a 6-1 success at Foxdale.
