Vagabonds 15-5 Dukinfield

Vagabonds' results appeared to be on an upward trend after a draw at Hoylake last week and they followed it up in the best way possible, beating Dukinfield 15-5 at a chilly Ballafletcher in Counties 3 ADM Lancs/Cheshire.

Joe Louw opened up the scoring for Vagas with a try midway through the first half. Harry Smith pulled one back for Dukinfield just after the half hour and when the half time whistle went, they were locked together at 5-5.

The match remained tied until five from the end. Cam Findlay knocked over a penalty to put Vagas 8-5 ahead and then with the penultimate play of the game Dan Bonwick opened up Dukinfield’s narrow side and sent Rob Pease in to secure the game. 

Cam Findlay iced the cake with a conversion from out wide.
