Ramsey take commanding Manx shield win over Western Vikings

Southern Nomads beat Oxton Parkonians 38-15 away in the Cheshire Bowl - the bonus point win keeps Nomads' outside chance of making the final alive.

A Django Kinley first half hat-trick, all converted by Mark Young gave Nomads a 21-8 half time lead with Parkonians keeping in touch via a try and a penalty. 

In the second half Tony Quinn, Jacob Halstein and Harry Corrin all ran in tries with Young adding one further conversion to put Nomads 31-8 in front - Parkonians snatched a late consolation try but it was too little too late.

Ramsey win in Ravenscroft Manx Shield

Holders Ramsey beat Western Vikings 57-0 at the Mooragh Park to keep their title defence on track. 

A hat trick from wing Nathan Brew with supporting tries from Conor Goodall and skipper Josh Corteen plus three Brandon Atchison conversions saw Ramsey 31-0 up at half time. 

In the second half Corteen added his second before Atchison ran in a hat trick of his own and added three more conversions to finish the game with a 24 point personal haul.
