Some ongoing challenges facing game heading into 2026
The addition of one or two more teams into the Isle of Man's rugby competitions would be welcomed in the future.
That's the view of Manx Radio's rugby correspondent who says there are still some ongoing challenges facing the game here going into 2026.
Among those, whilst clubs like Douglas, Vagabonds and Ramsey play regularly in English championships, options are more limited right now for the likes of Southern Nomads and Western Vikings.
However, Dave Christian says there will still be good opportunities in tournaments like the Manx Shield and Manx Cup heading into next year and that there's positive signs for getting future generations into the sport:
