Club progressing with plans at both junior and senior level
Douglas Rugby Club says it's 'ambitious' in promoting the sport further as the new season fast approaches.
The club's pre-season preparations are well underway with plans to reintroduce a second team for the new campaign alongside the first team's commitments in the Regional 2 North West.
Head Coach Phil Cringle recognises the sport here and elsewhere is facing challenges with recruitment.
But he and Douglas' new Rugby Development Officer Harry Cartwright explain there are different ways in which they're trying to improve this at both junior and senior level:
Swimming: Casson claims World and European masters records
Athletics: Masters athletics 'fantastic' for older athletes
MGP newcomer of the year describes 'rollercoaster' journey to debut
Hockey: Two Island sides claim EH Championships victories
