Royal back in Premier League

Nine year top flight absence is over

Douglas Royal are back in Manx football’s top flight after a nine year absence.

They were promoted from JCK Division Two on Saturday, courtesy of a 3-0 win at Douglas and District.

A Gavin Gawne double, interspersed by a Sean Traylor goal, set the party in full swing.

There was a four goal thriller at Tromode where Gymns and Castletown shared the spoils.

Jordan Cooper and Nick Bowden were on target for the hosts with Conor Smith and Dan McLaughlin replying for Town in a 2-2 draw.

Onchan’s fine form continues after a 1-0 win over Marown kept them in third place – Joey Joyce with the goal.

Malew cruised to a 3-0 win over Michael in the battle of the bottom two.

Dean Kinley (penalty), Conrad Kumar and Jordan Krypner were the marksmen.
