Royal and Peel maintain perfect starts
Douglas Royal have continued their winning start in the Regency Travel Women’s League.
That’s after they followed up their opening day success with a 16-0 romp at Colby.
Donna Shimmin helped herself to half of the goals and was joined on the scoresheet by Ceri Purvis and Rebecca Cole, who both grabbed doubles, with one apiece from Holly Sumner and Lauren Stoutt.
It’s also two out of two for Peel – 10-0 winners at Old Boys, courtesy of a hat-trick from Emma Nudd, braces from Sarah Wignall and Megan Loughran and one each from Maxine Smalley, Vanessa Christian and Sarah O’Reilly.
Reigning champions Corinthians went goal crazy against newly formed Douglas Athletic.
Jade Burden (five), Lisa Costain (four), Lauren Christian (three), Lydia Shaw also with a hat-trick, Leonie Roberts (two), Shannon Groves (two) and Anna Dillon were the scorers in the 20-0 demolition.
