Big climbs for Gran Fondo
It was a big night for Cyclefest last night, with the routes and challenges confirmed for the event at a gathering at Noa Bakehouse.
Aside from a round of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series taking place at the three-day festival, there are three challenges which riders will be able to enter.
The Battle of Sky Hill is a mountain bike race taking place in and around the hill's network of tree-lined tracks on the morning of Saturday May 14th.
That's followed in the afternoon by the 'Storm the Tower' hillclimb, which will see competitors race the clock up a 1.5-mile section of the TT course, heading out of Ramsey and past the Albert Tower.
Sunday's 'Gran Fondo' race is an 80-mile race on a route around the Island, which will feature plenty of tough climbs.
