Plenty of Manx action in Gold Coast

It's been a busy day for Manx competitors at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

In Badminton, Kimberley Clague and Ben Li both got off to winning starts in the singles competitions.

Kimberley beat Everlyn Siamupangila of Zambia 21-11, 21-9.

Ben recorded a 21-10, 21-19 victory over Chongo Mulenga also of Zambia. 

In Lawn Bowls, Ken McGreal slipped to two further defeats to opponents from Jersey and Northern Ireland in the singles.

And in Athletics, Joe Reid was 18th of the 26 starters in the 800m clocking a time of 1 minute 50.03 seconds.
