Newcomer to 800m is fastest
Manx athlete Joe Reid has broken the Isle of Man 800m national record.
Competing at the BMC event at Trafford, he clocked 1 minute 50.77 seconds to be over a second inside the previous standard of Ryan Fairclough set in 2013.
Reid is only in the early stages of moving up from 400m to 800m and has had very few races at the new distance.
