FC Isle of Man looking to bounce back from previous defeat

FC Isle of Man's Manager says his team is 'champing at the bit' to get back to winning ways when they return home in the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

Looking to put a comprehensive defeat at Nelson last Saturday behind them, 'The Ravens' entertain Charnock Richard at The Bowl on Saturday night (19 September).

In the build-up to this latest test, Lee Dixon says training has gotten intense at times this week and the squad is keen to make amends.

For the longer term, however, Dixon told Manx Radio the team remains a work in progress and that he's still yet to find out what is best setup is:

Whilst FC Isle of Man have only one win from their last five, maximum points at home this weekend could propel them back to within touching distance of the play-off places at this early phase of the campaign.

Charnock Richard, meanwhile, sit two points ahead of their Island hosts going into the weekend and have won four of their last six in all competitions.

When it comes to meetings between these two sides, Charnock Richard have won three of the last four meetings, including the most recent showdown between the two - a nine-goal thriller at Mossie Park in April this year.

FC Isle of Man vs Charnock Richard kicks-off at The Bowl tomorrow evening at 6pm.

Manx Radio will be providing full live match commentary on our DAB and AM1368 channels.
