After quite a feisty encounter, the men in red took the points at the Mooragh Park as Ramsey A fought it out with Ramsey B at the top of the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield.
Ramsey A ran out winners 26-0 in the end but the B team were only trailing 5-0 at the break and were right in the game until the closing stages.
Centre Craig Long scored the only points in the first half when he crashed home from close range.
A Danny Turner interception doubled the lead just inside the second half before late tries from Tynan Pritchard and Stu McConnell sealed victory.
In the only other Manx Shield game to take place, Vagabonds B kept up their challenge with a 25-0 home win over Emerging Nomads.
