Rain hits Macau Grand Prix

The first official qualifying session for the Macau Grand Prix this morning (Thursday) was cancelled, due to heavy rain.

There was a free practice earlier in the day where six-time winner Michael Rutter went quickest.

American Jeremy Toye was second.

The story of the day though was Swan Yamaha rider Ian Hutchinson.

Making his comeback to racing after over a year out with a serious leg injury, he clocked the third fastest time.

Returning to the Far East event, Ramsey racer Conor Cummins was 11th of the 27 competitors.
