Priestnal penalty completes comeback
Marc Priestnal’s second-half penalty completed a Pulrose comeback over Ramsey which saw them retain the GH Corlett Woods Cup.
Michael Valerga had put the northerners in front from a corner midway through the first period.
Pully levelled through Owen Canipa before the interval despite the best efforts of Ramsey goalkeeper Andy Perry, to finish a closely-fought 45 minutes with everything to play for.
Not long after the re-start, Nick White brought down Priestnal in the penalty area, with the Pulrose man needing no second invitation to put his side in front.
That put an end to the scoring in the fine conditions at The Bowl, as Pulrose saw out the game to retain the trophy and win the competition for the fourth time in their history.
