Manx competitor also sets new deadlift record in Belfast
Manx powerlifter Lisa Grant has become a three-time British champion during the recent British Masters Classic Championships in Belfast.
One of two Manx Powerlifting contenders at the event from 8-9 June, Grant took victory in the M1 76kg category managing nine clean lifts and setting a new deadlift record in the class at 190.5kg.
Her other best lifts of the event were 125kg in the squat and 72.5kg in the bench press.
Also competing at the event was Kerry Lindsay in the M2 class where she secured new competition personal bests in both the squat and the bench press.
She managed 110kg and 50kg respectively across the two as well as successfully completing a 125kg deadlift.
Separately, the Isle of Man will be hosting its first ever Manx Masters Powerlifting tournament at Fusion Barbell in Douglas on Saturday, 13 July.
