Calum Gardner puts in spirited performances against top players
A Manx pool player has got his campaign underway in the prestigious Ultimate Pool Tour series.
Callum Gardner took part in the competition for the first time at the weekend at the Grand Hotel in Blackpool in events one and two of the challenger series which ran from 19-21 January.
He put in a spirited display in event one (20 January) but ultimately lost out 6-2 to England's Dave Cobey.
The following day (21 January) also ended in a defeat but Callum did better his score slightly as he went down 6-3 to Ricardo Jones of England.
Callum will next be in action in the series, again in Blackpool, for events three and four from 23-26 March.
