The four-lap Junior Manx Grand Prix got under way 15 minutes late because of the wet and windy weather, but turned into a real battle.
Northern Irish rider Andrew Brady, from Roslea, eventually won the race, at an average speed of 107.513 mph.
Just behind him came Paul Smythe, with Stephen McKnight finishing third.
After the race, Andrew said the victory had been a very personal one:
The race was marred by the death of 20-year-old Wayne Hamilton, from Portadown, in an accident at the 13th Milestone (see story in main news section).
