Event director describes scale of Island sport as 'remarkable'
The 'phenomenal' sporting culture on Island plays a part in improving health and the economy.
That's the belief of the event director for Gran Fondo Isle of Man which is returning in July this year.
It's previously been a big attraction for both on and off-Island participants.
Paul Phillips says more recently local entries have been very strong:
Athletics: Top-five for Cain at Swansea Half Marathon
Jamie Cringle 'a couple of steps closer in the right direction' after TT crash
Football: Castletown and 'Youthie' into Paul Henry Gold Cup final
Jade Burden 'so fired up' for rearranged title fight
