Peel won the Standard Bank Blincoe Cup Final yesterday when they beat Valkyres by three wickets, in a match reduced to one innings per side because of the weather.
Valkyres batted first and scored 116 for 9 as opener Abdul Khan hit 18 and Shahzeb Raja at number three made an excellent thirty.
The Peel bowlers then got on top with Colin Gilbert taking 3 for 14 and Rob Cottier and Phil Littlejohns both claiming two victims.
The western batsman had a torrid start, but Daniel Dickinson came to the rescue.
He cracked a fine 32 and Alex Williamson turned in a very good 26, while Jim Murphy made 15 not out to see Peel to victory.
The match was completed in dreadful conditions as the rain poured down and it is a credit to both sides that they completed the game.
