Pack closes in on St Mary's

Champs draw as rivals all win

Canada Life Premier League leaders St Mary's were held to a 2-2 draw at The Bowl by a determined Laxey.

That result means Corinthians and St George's are within touching distance of the defending champions with their games in hand.

Corinthians won 4-1 against Douglas Royal in the Ballafletcher derby while St George's beat old foes Peel 4-1 at Glencrutchery Road.

Rushen stay in third following a 4-0 win at Douglas Athletic.

There was a cracking game at Garey Moar in the GH Corlett Woods Cup quarter-finals.

Home side Union Mills staged a late second half comeback to draw level at 3-3 with Ayre at the full-time whistle.

Eventually, the tie had to be settled on penalties and the Millers won 7-6.

St. John's won 5-1 at Foxdale, Braddan came away from Malew 3-1 victors and Onchan beat Douglas & District 4-2.
