A general election candidate in the constituency of Rushen believes he is the right man for the job, given the difficult challenges the new administration will face.
Dr John Orme served as an MHK for the constituency between 1986 and 1991, when he was a member of the then Department of Highways, Ports and Properties.
The 62-year-old barrister says, if elected next month, he would only serve one term, leaving him free to take decisions in the long-term interests of the Island, without having an eye on his future political prospects.
He told John Moss the time was right for him to return to politics (listen to audio file below):
There are currently five candidates for the three seats in Rushen, with outgoing MHKs Phil Gawne, Quintin Gill and Juan Watterson facing challenges from John Orme, Laurence Skelly.
