
Mike Garrett and Michael George were among the winners in Sunday’s annual Northern 10 10 mile road run and walk.
Organised by Northern Athletics Club in Ramsey, Manx Harriers runner Garrett set a new personal best time of 57 minutes 11 seconds.
Second was Northern's Kevin Deakes and third place went to Chris Kneen.
In the women’s race, the honours went to Rachael Tewkesbury of Northern in 63:41 (seventh overall).
Second lady was Judith Quane, also of Northern, and third was Caroline Myers.
In the inaugural Northern 10 walk, the first man was Michael George and first lady, Marie Jackson.
