London Select pip Manx players
A London Select team just pipped the Isle of Man 14-13 in an international table tennis match in the unusual setting of Sombreros Diner in the Ramsey bowling alley on Saturday.
It was part of a training weekend prior to the Manx team's participation in the NatWest Island Games in Gotland, which start at the end of the week.
Everything came down to the very last match of the night with the Island having to win 3-0 to claim overall victory.
In the event the score was 2-1 to the Island, leaving London the victors by just one point.
The Manx team was represented by Ronan McDonnell, Jason Quirk, Malcolm Cummings, Kay Vinas ('vee-nas') and Kerenza Baker.
