
Manx swimmer Grant Halsall has continued his outstanding form at the British Swimming Championships in Sheffield.
Yesterday morning, he just scraped into the 200m Backstroke semi-finals with the 16th fastest time in the heats of 2 minutes 5.75 seconds - another Isle of Man senior and junior record.
The Laxey swimmer went even better in the semi-finals moving up to finish in 11th place, just a second away from making the final.
Halsall's time was 2 minutes 3.73 seconds - a British record for the 15 year-old age group.
In all, he took 4.5 seconds off his Manx record in one day.
Earlier at the meeting, Grant made the 100m Backsroke final where he finished 7th taking over a second off the British 15 year-old age group record and setting new Manx senior and junior records.
This morning, he was back in the pool in the 100m Butterfly heats.
