Mercer retires from road racing

TT star wants to put family first

TT star Steve Mercer says putting his family first is the reason he has decided to retire from road racing.

The 35 year-old from Maidstone in Kent is married with two young children.

Mercer walked away from a big crash at the 11th milestone at the TT in June.

When he got back to the paddock his five year-old son asked a question that changed his view on racing:-
