Mechanic says Lintin op went 'to plan'

Further update expected later on Saturday

It's thought an operation on Ivan Lintin's leg went 'to plan', and a further update on his overall condition could come later today (Sat 14).

Lintin's mechanic Danny Horne made the announcement on social media last night, having visited him in hospital.

The Lincolnshire rider was one of four competitors involved in an incident at Stadium Bend on Thursday - James Cowton died, and both Jamie Coward and Michael Evans were taken to hospital but have subsequently been discharged.

Lintin's parents and girlfriend 'would like to express their immense gratitude for all the well wishes, positive thoughts, and prayers'.
