Sam Murphy deadlifts 520,072kg in 24 hours
After a long, sleepless night, a local athlete is now a world record holder.
Yesterday, (27 Nov) Sam Murphy set out to beat the record for most weight deadlifted in 24 hours.
Not only did he meet American man Kengee Ehrlich's 500,500kg, he managed another 19,614kg on top of it.
In total, Murphy deadlifted 520,072kg in one day.
He's not solely in it for the title though, the Manx weightlifter is raising money for Movember.
