Darryl Hill has opportunity to re-enter professional circuit
Manx ex-professional snooker player Darryl Hill is launching himself back into international competition this weekend, at the EBSA European Men's Championships in Israel.
The former world number 75 is representing the Isle of Man at the event, as one of 125 players from 33 countries competing in the tournament.
Hill won the Under-21 version of this competition in March 2015, which saw him gain a two-year card to compete on the professional World Snooker tour.
He dropped off the tour at the end of that 24-month spell, having failed to establish himself in the world's top 64, but tournaments like this one provide another route back onto the tour, with a card available for the winner.
