Great first half performance
The Isle of Man Women's team made a perfect start to the Triangular Tournament at The Bowl on Friday night.
They beat Wigan Athletic 4-3 with goals from Ceri Purvis, Jade Burden, Kym Hicklin and Sarah Wignall.
The Manx were 4-0 up after 34 minutes but Grace Vella pulled a goal back for the visitors just before the interval.
Wigan didn't score again until the closing stages with Sam Baldwin and Alli Coleman netting - but the hosts held on to take victory.
The second match of the event is on Saturday afternoon when Wigan face Rhyl - kick-off at The Bowl is at 1.30pm.
The final game is on Sunday morning at The Bowl when the Isle of Man play Rhyl - it's a 10.30am start.
