LVP unveils first candidaite for 2011

The Liberal Vannnin Party has announced its first candidate for next year's House of Keys general election.

Juan Cottier, of Cronk Grianagh in Braddan, will contest the single seat in the constituency of Middle.

Mr Cottier has been a member of the party for some time and has been vice-chairman of the Central branch and the Constitutional Committee, and membership secretary.

He has a degree in computing and has recently been studying for a CPE in Law.

Party leader Peter Karran says he believes Mr Cottier is a man of real integrity, whose election would be of benefit both locally and nationally.
