FA occasion aiming to showcase and celebrate females in football
Liverpool FC Women’s all-time leading goal scorer will be the guest of honour at a Manx event to showcase the game to women and girls this week.
Natasha Dowie - who counts Liverpool, Everton and AC Milan amongst her previous clubs - retired from playing last year and is now the club’s inaugural official women’s ambassador.
The event - at The Bowl on Wednesday (6 March) - is the first of its kind on the Island and will act as part of the inclusion campaign.
It's being held two days before International Women's Day (on Friday, 8 March); entry is free with gates opening at 4.45pm.
There will then be a series of friendly matches involving age groups ranging from Under-10's to Under-16's before an exhibition match between two sides made up of Isle of Man women's national squad players at 7.15pm.
