England 1966 World Cup hero Martin Peters was the Guest-of-Honour at last night's Isle of Man Gold Union dinner.
Peters scored in the Final against West Germany at Wembley and still is involved with corporate match day work at one of his former clubs Tottenham Hotspur.
In the past few days, plans for Premier League teams to play an extra fixture abroad have been announced.
Martin Peters isn't too keen on the proposal:-
Rugby: Bevan Rodd on bench for England's opening Six Nations match
MGP 26: A new Quayle set for the start line
Football: Douglas Royal face Peel in Floodlit Cup Final clash
Hockey: Three wins for Island sides in England Championships
