Browne and Lougher have dominated Lightweight class in recent years

Mike Browne and Ian Lougher will once again contest the Lightweight class at this year's Manx Grand Prix.

The pairing will both ride Yamaha TZ250 machinery under the Laycock Racing banner.

Both Browne and Lougher have enjoyed big success in the Lightweight MGP in recent times having finished first and second respectively in both 2022 and 2023.

Announcing the lineup on social media, the team says it 'can't put into words' how happy it is to have the two riders on board.

In the last two years, the team has operated with those two competitors under the name of Laylaw Racing.

The change in name comes after team manager Eddie Laycock confirmed in January this year that his friend and sponsor Gerry Lawlor was stepping back from the setup for personal reasons.

The 2024 Manx Grand Prix is due to take place from 18-26 August.
