Ladies team take first win in Men's Basketball League

The IOM Ladies Basketball Team cruised their way to their first win in the Men's League last night. (26 Nov)

Women's side Hoops dominated men's team Pokerstars from the starting whistle, showing immense defensive pressure, with exceptional rebounding from Lauren Ellison and Gemma Kirkham.

The Pokerstars side showed off their shooting skills with some impressive shots from the 3-point line, however, they were matched with equally solid shots from the likes of Holly Hennessey and Nefeli Protogeraki.

The almost telepathic connection in attack between Dannielle Murphy and Becky Dunne proved difficult to be hindered, with Dunne going on to be awarded player of the match; a much deserved title.   

In the end, Hoops took the win comfortably 71-52.
