There was disappointment for David Knight in the latest round of the Grand National Cross Country series, which was held in Sparta, Kentucky.
The Ballaugh rider could only finish fifth at the Weekend Warrior Spartan yesterday.
He led the first half of the race before a big crash forced him into the pits for repairs.
Knighter's fifth allows Paul Whibley, who won his second straight GNCC round, and Joshua Strang to close the points on him again.
But thanks to his four wins so far he still holds a 23 point lead over Whibley, with Strang a further 19 back, in the overall standings.
The series takes a three week break now then heads to Yadkinville, North Carolina, for round eight, the Elka Yadkin Valley Stomp.
