Winter league draws to a close
Arthur Hayes produced some excellent shooting to win the fifth and final round of the Down the Line Winter League at the Ayres.
The veteran shooter overcame the challenge of Mark Riley, Glyn Hooson-Owen and Marty Kneen to take the overall honours at Ayre Clay Target Club, as well as top B class.
In windy conditions at Blue Point, Riley won A class with Hooson-Owen triumphing in C class.
Kneen was the overall winner of the league, adding to the skeet winter league crown he claimed a week earlier.
This weekend’s shoot is the Sportrap competition, which concludes the winter season.
Entries close at 10.15am.
