Kneale to carry Manx flag at Glasgow

Shooter Tim Kneale has been chosen to the carry the Manx flag at the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony at Glasgow's Celtic Park on Wednesday 23rd July.

Last week, Kneale set a new double trap world record and won a bronze medal at the Delhi Games four years ago.

Gymnast Alex Hedges has been named overall captain of the Isle of Man team of 46 athletes - the largest ever sent to a Commonwealth Games.

Alex will be competing at his third Commonwealth Games having made his debut in 2006 in Melbourne.
