Vagas win all-Manx clash
Vagabonds took the honours in a nail biter at a windswept Mooragh Park beating Ramsey 12-0 in Cheshire (South).
Some clinical attacking, resolute defending and two tries from wing Cole Hayes sealed the victory.
Playing into the strong wind, Vagas led 5-0 at half-time after Hayes grabbed his first.
In the second half, they played a sensible territorial game and, with three minutes to go, Ramsey obligingly coughed up the ball and Hayes went in for his second which Leigh Kennaugh converted.
The win leaves Vagas just three points off a top five place and they have a game in hand over fifth place Heaton Moor.
