Kennaugh second in Wales

Peter Kennaugh Junior finished as runner-up to Russell Downing in the Robert Price Grand Prix of Wales Road Race.

After a programme of training and racing in Italy with the Great Britain Olympic Development squad, this was the Manx riders first event in the U.K..

Kennaugh is in his first year as a senior rider and admits a second place ahead of the British National Road Race Championship is a real boost to his confidence.

The Manx star finished 56 seconds adrift of Downing in very windy conditions.
