
Manxman Tim Kennaugh claimed second place in the British Cycling Junior Men's British Road Race championship around the Welsh town of Abergavenny.
Kennaugh led for 15 miles or so but had to settle for the runners-up spot in the 68 mile event after George Atkins triumphed in a sprint finish.
Joe Perrett was third.
Manxmen Mark Cavendish, Jonny Bellis, Peter Kennaugh and Mark Christian are all involved in today’s (Sunday) senior race.
