Manx cyclist Peter Kennaugh together with Great Britain team mate Ben Swift is currently second overall in the Pro UIV Talents Cup in Rotterdam, despite winning on Sunday afternoon.
They lie just three points behind Dutch leaders Lithgard and Vermeulen after day four.
The event concludes on Tuesday.
Meanwhile another Manx cyclist, Jonathan Bellis, has been invited to join the Team CSC training camp in Mallorca later this month.
According to a spokesperson Bellis attracted the interest of the team prior to winning bronze at the under 23 Road Race World Championships in October.
The team says it wants to see if the 19 year old will fit with the rest of the team.
