The Team Sky rider was making his debut in the event which was won by Chris Froome.
Kennaugh played a major part in the success, particularly on the mountain stages.
He says he wasn't aware of the positive press he was receiving until after the race.
And he's not sure what to make of his boss Sir David Brailsford mentioning him as a possible future winner of the famous yellow jersey:-
You can hear the full interview with Peter Kennaugh in Friday Sport from 6.05pm.
