There was some high quality golf during the first part of the Isle of Man Boys under-18 Championship on Sunday.
Castletown's Tom Harris led the qualifying round with a superb 69, five shots better than runner-up Tom Gandy of the home club on 74.
The other six through were Jorge Wylde, Richard Gault, Richard Clark-Wilson, George Harris, Robert Hester and Andrew Dixon.
In addition, two players had holes in one.
17 year-old Tye Jones of Ramsey holed out on the par 3 thirteenth (not unlucky for him!) and 13 year-old Josh Kennedy of Mount Murray recorded an ace on the par 3 sixteenth.
The quarter-finals were played in the afternoon:-
Tom Harris beat Andrew Dixon 3 & 2
Tom Gandy beat Robert Hester 2 & 1
George Harris beat Jorge Wylde 4 & 3
Richard Clark-Wilson beat Richard Gault by 1 hole.
The semi-finals and final take place this coming Sunday.
