FC Isle of Man head into weekend following five straight defeats

FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones is hoping his players can be 'brave' and 'fearless' as they continue their efforts to get off the foot of the NWCFL Premier Division this weekend.

'The Ravens' host Charnock Richard at The Bowl tomorrow night (13 September) with the Manx side currently on a run of five straight defeats.

After their 3-1 loss in midweek at Cheadle Town, FC Isle of Man players Sam Baines and Dean Pinnington gave a passionate interview calling for fans to keep backing them as they look to turn results around.

Jones says it was 'great' to hear his players' commitment to the cause and maintains they do have the quality needed to produce better performances:

Following another setback on Tuesday night, FC Isle of Man remain on four points at the bottom of the league standings on goal difference below AFC Liverpool and Litherland REMYCA who also have the same points returns so far.

Furthermore, FC Isle of Man have shipped 29 goals so far - the most of any side in the NWCFL Premier Division to date.

Their visitors, Charnock Richard, meanwhile have had a steady start to the campaign, winning four of their eight league outings and sitting eighth in the table on 13 points.

A win for Ryan Donellan's side could take them to within a point of the top five, depending on results elsewhere.

In addition, Charnock Richard have the far superior head-to-head record against FC Isle of Man in the six meetings between the two sides so far.

Charnock Richard have won four of those six which include victories on their last two visits to The Bowl.

FC Isle of Man vs Charnock Richard takes place at The Bowl in Douglas this Saturday, 13 September, kicking-off at 6pm.
