Manx Badminton player Jessica Li was forced to retire during her game against the gold medal winner from Delhi in 2010.
She was playing Saina Nehwal from India who won the first game 21-4.
Jessica was 2-0 down in the second game of the last sixteen contest when the match came to an early end because of a sprained ankle.
