Manx boxer to face Katie Smith in Bolton this weekend
Isle of Man professional boxer Jade Burden says she's 'fired up' for her rearranged, first ever, title fight in the sport this weekend.
The Island fighter - who's undefeated in the pro ranks so far - will face Katie Smith for the Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight title at the Toughsheet Community Stadium in Bolton on Saturday (13 June).
This showdown had previously been due to take place in Portsmouth, in April, however the show it was part of was cancelled less than 72 hours before it took place.
Burden admits it was a difficult time but, now, the fire and hunger is back as she looks to fulfill her dream of bringing a title back to the Isle of Man:
Since turning professional in 2024, Burden has a record of four victories from four fights, including one win via knockout.
The last time the Manx competitor stepped into the ring was in November 2025 where she earned a points win over Linzi Buczysnkyj in Blackpool.
Meanwhile, Smith is the reigning Commonwealth Silver Super Featherweight champion with four wins and one defeat from five fights at this level.
