Island marks World Squash Day

People of all ages encouraged to get involved

As many people as possible are being encouraged to pick up a racquet and mark World Squash Day today.

Courts are booked all day at the National Sports Centre in Douglas with a range of activities taking place.

Exhibition matches, coaching sessions and fitness exercises for all the family will feature throughout the day.

Squash was one of the sports worst affected by severe flooding last year - with courts only re-opening last month.

IoMSRA President Les Callow hopes it will lead to a boost in numbers following the loss of the NSC facility.
