
The Isle of Man's understanding of motorsport should prevent a similar situation to that facing the Croft Circuit in the North-East of England.
That's the view of Tourism Minister Martyn Quayle following this week's Court ruling to award nearly £150,000 in damages to local residents living near to the track.
They argued that "loud, intrusive and repetitive noise" from the venue was spoiling their quality of life.
However, Mr Quayle says the Island is a completely different scene:-
