IoM athletes represent North of England

Third for Franklin, fourth for Lockley

Athletes Rachael Franklin and Ollie Lockley put in strong performances for Team North of England yesterday.

The pair were part of the team which was competing at the City of Stirling 10k road race, which incorporated the Scottish National 10k Road Championships.

Franklin was third in the women's race, completing the course in a time of 34:56 as she came 99th overall.

Lockley, meanwhile, was fourth in the men's race in a time of 29:54, one minute behind the winner but just five seconds behind third place.
